Practitioner Compensation Calculator
A practitioner compensation calculator compares three models on the same revenue. With a percentage split, the practitioner earns revenue times the split. With hourly pay, they earn hours times the rate. With room rental, the practitioner keeps revenue minus rent and their costs, while the clinic keeps the rent minus its costs. All amounts are before tax.

One month: collected revenue $20,000, 120 hours, 50% split, hourly pay $65, room rent $4,000. Extra clinic costs for the split and hourly scenarios $1,500. Room rental: practitioner costs $500, clinic costs $800.
Split: practitioner $10,000.00, clinic $8,500.00. Hourly: practitioner $7,800.00, clinic $10,700.00. Room rental: practitioner $15,500.00, clinic $3,200.00.
Method
How it's calculated
Percentage split: practitioner = revenue × split ÷ 100. Clinic remainder = revenue − practitioner − extra clinic costs.
Hourly pay: practitioner = hours × hourly rate. Clinic remainder = revenue − practitioner − the same extra clinic costs.
Room rental: practitioner remainder = revenue − room rent − practitioner costs. Clinic remainder = room rent − clinic costs.
Room-rental clinic remainder is the rent, not ownership of the practitioner’s collected revenue.

- What does this practitioner compensation calculator compare?
- Three scenarios on the same collected revenue: a percentage split, hourly pay, and room rental. Each one shows a practitioner amount and a clinic remainder before tax.
- Does room rental mean the clinic keeps the visit revenue?
- No. In the room-rental scenario the practitioner remainder is revenue minus rent and the practitioner costs you enter. The clinic remainder is the rent minus the clinic costs you enter.
- Are benefits and payroll costs included?
- No. Amounts are before tax. Benefits, payroll taxes and other unmodelled costs are not calculated. Add them in the extra cost fields if you want them in the scenario.
- Does this physiotherapist split calculator decide employment status?
- No. These are financial scenarios from your assumptions. They are not advice about whether a practitioner is an employee or a contractor.
