Custom orthotics manufacturer and supplier for Canadian clinics
Orthix is an orthotic laboratory and custom orthotics manufacturer. We fabricate custom foot orthotics in our lab in Vancouver, BC, to each clinic's prescription, and we supply them only to clinics and practitioners: physiotherapists, chiropractors, podiatrists, chiropodists and pedorthists across Canada.
Custom foot orthotic labs differ most in how orders reach the lab. At Orthix, clinics order online in the Orthix app. You complete the online assessment, capture both feet on a phone or iPad, the app generates a 3D model, and you submit the order. Foam impressions are also accepted as a secondary option.
- Manufacturer: every pair is fabricated in our Vancouver lab and shipped to your clinic.
- Supplier: one orthotic supplier for clinics in every province, with the same app and the same workflow.
- Turnaround: typical fabrication is 5–10 days after lab acceptance.

One workflow: assess, 3D model, fabricate
1. Register your clinic
Verify your practice once, with registration, email verification and business verification. Your team gets a secure workspace for patients and orders.
2. Assess online
Complete the structured digital assessment in Orthix. It replaces paper forms, and drafts save so you can submit when the assessment is ready.
3. Capture both feet and generate the 3D model
Capture both soles on a compatible phone or iPad, with the app guiding positioning and lighting. The app generates a 3D model, and you review it with your patient before you submit.
4. Submit in the app
The model is attached to the order, and the handoff to our lab is instant. There are no foam boxes, packing or shipping labels. Digital orders don't require shipping foam impressions.
5. Lab review, fabrication and quality control
A qualified Orthix technician checks every file before manufacturing. Your orthotics are fabricated in our Canadian lab from your assessment form, then inspected before they leave the lab.
6. Track online, deliver and reorder
Follow status, message the lab and keep a cloud history. Finished orthotics ship to your clinic. When the same patient needs another pair, reorder from the digital record.
Most teams are comfortable placing their first digital order within one guided session, and we can review your first few orders with you.

Turnaround
- Typical fabrication: 5–10 days after lab acceptance. Volume and product type can vary.
- The clock starts when the lab accepts the order, which happens when we confirm in the platform or by email, or start production. Complete assessments and clear captures help your order get accepted sooner.
- Timelines are estimates unless Orthix confirms a date in writing (Terms).
Serving clinics across Canada
The app works the same from coast to coast. It's one lab, one workflow and one standard of technician review:
- British Columbia. We have a strong presence in BC. Lower Mainland clinics can see our Vancouver lab page. For the rest of the province, see Custom Orthotics Lab for BC Clinics.
- Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Submit in the app, with nothing physical to send across provincial lines.
- Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Orders reach our lab when you submit, and finished orthotics ship to your clinic.
Shipping times and delivery options by region are on our orthotics lab shipping across Canada page.

Choosing a custom orthotics lab in Canada
- Where are custom orthotic labs in Canada?
- Custom orthotic labs are located in different provinces, and a clinic doesn't have to use a lab in its own city. Orthix's lab is at 101A-8380 St. George St, Vancouver, BC V5X 3S7, and it serves clinics across Canada. Clinics order online in the Orthix app, and finished orthotics ship to the clinic.
- Does our orthotics lab need to be near our clinic?
- No. With Orthix you complete the online assessment, capture both feet on a phone or iPad, review the 3D model and submit the order in the app, so there's nothing to drop off. Finished orthotics ship to your clinic anywhere in Canada. Lower Mainland clinics can also use local pickup or courier.
- Is Orthix a custom orthotics lab or a software company?
- Both. Orthix is a custom orthotics lab in Vancouver, BC, with an online app that clinics use to order: online assessment, phone or iPad 3D capture, a 3D model and order submission. Orthix was formerly Pioneers Orthomedix.
- What should a clinic ask when choosing a custom orthotics lab?
- Ask how orders are placed, which capture methods the lab accepts, what its typical fabrication time is, whether it ships to your province, and whether it works only with clinics. At Orthix, orders go through the online app with phone or iPad 3D capture (foam impressions are also accepted), typical fabrication is 5–10 days after lab acceptance, orthotics ship across Canada, and we work only with clinics and practitioners, never directly with patients.
