Clinic Startup Budget Planner
To estimate physiotherapy clinic startup costs, add one-time costs (fit-out, equipment, furniture, deposits, setup and initial marketing) to an operating reserve. The reserve is your monthly operating costs multiplied by the months of runway you choose. Refundable deposits are tracked separately but still count toward the cash you need on day one.

Method
How it's calculated
One-time cash requirement = fit-out + equipment + furniture + deposits + setup + initial marketing + other one-time costs.
Monthly operating cash = rent + admin wages + utilities + software + marketing + other monthly costs.
Operating reserve = monthly operating cash × runway months.
Total starting cash = one-time cash requirement + operating reserve.
Refundable deposits are included in the one-time total and shown again on their own line.

- What counts as physiotherapy clinic startup costs here?
- One-time costs you enter, such as fit-out, equipment, furniture, deposits, setup and initial marketing, plus an operating reserve. The reserve is monthly operating costs times the months of runway you choose.
- Are refundable deposits left out of starting cash?
- No. Deposits are labelled separately because they may be refundable, but they are still included in the cash you need on day one.
- Does this planner add provincial fees or count rent twice?
- No. It only adds the amounts you type. It does not insert licensing fees. Monthly rent is operating rent. Do not also type that same rent into deposits unless the deposit is a different payment.
- Is the operating reserve a cash-flow forecast?
- No. It is a conservative reserve before incoming revenue. It is not a full cash-flow forecast, a tax calculation, or a prediction of profit.
