Clinic Marketing ROI Calculator
To calculate physiotherapy marketing ROI, multiply attributable new patients by their average visits and by the collected fee minus variable cost per visit, then subtract campaign spend. Divide that net contribution by spend. ROAS is revenue divided by spend, and patient acquisition cost is spend divided by attributable new patients.

Calculator
Enter your numbers
Calculate physiotherapy marketing ROI from campaign spend and the new patients you attribute to it. Clinic patient acquisition cost is spend divided by that patient count. ROAS is shown separately because it uses revenue, not contribution.

Worked example
Hypothetical numbers only. They are not a benchmark or an Orthix price.
Campaign spend $3,000, 20 attributable new patients, 5 completed visits each, $110 collected per visit, $4 variable cost per visit.
Revenue $11,000.00. Contribution before marketing $10,600.00. Net contribution $7,600.00. ROI 253.33%. Cost per patient $150.00. ROAS 3.67.
Method
How it's calculated
Revenue = attributable new patients × average visits × collected amount per visit.
Contribution before marketing = attributable new patients × average visits × (collected amount − variable cost).
Net contribution after marketing = contribution − campaign spend.
Contribution-based ROI = net contribution ÷ spend × 100, when spend is above zero.
Cost per acquired patient = spend ÷ attributable new patients, when that count is above zero.
ROAS = revenue ÷ spend, when spend is above zero.

- How is physiotherapy marketing ROI different from ROAS?
- ROI here is net contribution after campaign spend, divided by spend. ROAS is revenue divided by spend. A high ROAS can still sit next to a lower ROI once variable costs are removed.
- What is clinic patient acquisition cost in this calculator?
- Campaign spend divided by the attributable new patients you enter. It is blank when that patient count is zero, because the tool does not assume a number for you.
- Does every new patient count as coming from the campaign?
- No. Enter only patients you attribute to the campaign. The calculator does not treat all new patients in the clinic as campaign results, and it is not causal proof.
- Is this lifetime value?
- No. Revenue uses the visits and collected fee you enter for the period. It is not lifetime value, and it is not a forecast of later care.
